All videotapes in the WPIC collection are in the PittCat for the Health Sciences database. PittCat is the online catalog of the University of Pittsburgh. The following steps will help in your search:
  1. Open PITTCat for the Health Sciences (http://pittcat.hsls.pitt.edu).
  2. When PITTCat opens, click on the Guided Search tab.







  3. On the Guided Search screen, click on the Set More Limits button at the bottom right corner of the screen





  4. On the Set Limits screen, select these choices from the scrolling boxes:
      a.   Location box:  WPIC Library
      b.   Medium box:  Videorecording (Videocassettes, Videodiscs, DVDs)

  5. Click on the Set Limits button. If you do not, there will be no limits applied.





  6. Upon returning to the Guided Search screen, type the keywords in the search box that best describe your topic, then click on the Search button. NOTE: by truncating depression using a question mark, depress?, retrieval will include records with variations of the root word such as depress, depressed, depressive, depression.





  7. The Titles Display screen lists the video titles retrieved by the search. To see more information on a video, click on its title.





  8. Instructions for developing more complex keyword searches are given at the bottom of most screens or by clicking on the Help link.
