Update: HSLS Electronic ResourcesElectronic JournalsThe University of Pittsburgh and the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center now have online access to additional important journal titles in medical and clinical sciences, including NeuroReport, Nature specialty journals, Journal of Cell Biology, and many more. Through Ovid, HSLS users can view an additional 60 electronic journals published by Lippincott Williams & Wilkins. Some of the medical specialties covered are:
The University and UPMC users in Oakland can access some key Nature specialty journals, including Bone Marrow Transplantation, British Journal of Cancer, Cancer Gene Therapy, European Journal of Human Genetics, Oncogene, and more. HSLS has also licensed the Journal of Cell Biology and the Journal of Experimental Medicine, both published by the Rockefeller University Press. These are restricted to Oakland users as well. (Note: Oakland users include the Oakland campus of University of Pittsburgh, PUH, EEH, MUH, WPIC, UPMC Shadyside, Hillman Cancer Center, Magee Hospital & Magee Research Institute). Electronic BooksA number of major reference books and textbooks were recently added to the HSLS electronic books collection. Titles include seven volumes from the Current Protocols series, Encyclopedia of Molecular Biology and Molecular Medicine, Current Medical Diagnosis and Treatment, and Lange Medical Books. Also, HSLS has licensed access to leading medical titles through the Wiley InterScience Web site and the McGraw Hill AccessMedicine Web site. Some of the more significant are:
