NHGRI Policy and Legislation Database

The National Human Genome Research Institute (NHGRI) has unveiled a new
Web-based databases that will enable researchers, health professionals and the general public to more easily locate information on laws and policies related to a wide array of genetic issues, including privacy of genetic information/confidentiality; informed consent; insurance and employment discrimination; genetic testing and counseling; and commercialization and patenting.

The NHGRI Policy and Legislation Database is located on the NHGRI’s Web site at <www.genome.gov/LegislativeDatabase>.
