   Children's Institute
  The Children's Institute has levels of care for special needs children including a Day School. Their website has information on programs, diagnosis, clinical services, contact information, calendar of events, and outpatient satellite offices.
 
   UCP Kids
  From UCP of Pittsburgh, the Unique Community Partnership for Kids (UCP Kids) provides recreational support to kids with and without disabilities, "UCP Kids works with children in Allegheny County from 3 - 21 years of age with various disabilities." Inclusive recreational activities are identified and participation is encouraged with support and teaching techniques for families and group leaders.
 
   Watson Institute
  Located in Sewickley, PA, The Watson Institute provides clinical and educational services for children and teens with autism, cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, spina bifida, and other neurological impairments.    Adolescent Health Transition Project
  From the Washington State Department of Health Center on Human Development and Disability, this site provides resources supporting adolescents as they assume responsibility for their own healthcare. Checklists, timelines and resources for family and healthcare providers are featured.
 
   Benefits for Children with Disabilities
  This "electronic leaflet" from the Social Security Administration describes Supplemental Security Income (SSI) and how to apply for it for your child. There is also information on state children's health insurance programs and other health care services.
 
   KidsHealth: Finding a Camp for your Child with Special Needs
  Guidance for parents along with a list of Web sites where parents can search for summer camps for children with disabilities.
 
   National Dissemination Center for Children with Disabilities (NICHCY)
  This site from the U.S. Department of Education, Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP)is a "central source of information" on education laws, policies and practices affecting children with disabilities. Find information on IDEA, No Child Left Behind, and educational practices as well as contact information for state representatives, agencies and disability organizations. Available in either English or Spanish.
