Sequencher, from Gene Codes, is a DNA sequence assembly and analysis software package that includes:

  • Multiple, configurable DNA assembly algorithms
  • Comprehensive DNA sequence editing tools
  • Full support of sequence data confidence values
  • Comprehensive Restriction Mapping
  • Specialized tools for Forensic mtDNA profiling
  • Comprehensive HTML Help throughout
  • Powerful Reference Sequence and the Variance Table find SNPs quickly and easily
  • Extensive data import & export capabilities, with customizable GenBank Feature handling

Software Access

Noteworthy Features

  • Use the Translated Variance Table to summarize all amino acid differences and validate mutations in a set of samples.
  • Read electropherograms (graphical representations of the fluorescent intensity of each band in the sequencing gel) produced by automated sequencing machines. Instead of looking at a text file of the sequence data, examine the quality of the sequence present at each base.
  • Access tools for removal of contaminated vector sequences and low quality sequence data from the ends of the sequence reads.
  • Align cDNAs to the genomic DNA sequences, even in the presence of large gaps.
