Your Reference Librarian

Carolyn Biglow, the Project Manager for PHIA, is available to help you with any aspect of using the PHIA resources and services.  Questions can be brief in nature, or complex.  Examples of the types of help reference librarians provide include:

  • Assistance using the library catalog, PITTCat
  • Assistance using databases such as PubMed or Toxnet
  • Assistance in locating contact information for people
  • Recommending reliable information sources for a topic
  • Determining whether a known information source is available to you under PHIA
  • Conducting a search of the published literature for you to locate resources on a topic
