Published Testing Instruments Published testing instruments are instruments which may be purchased from a commercial test publisher. Sometimes special training is required to administer commercial tests. Information on commercially published tests can be found in standard reference works such as Mental Measurements Yearbook, Tests in Print, Test Critiques, and Tests.
"Unpublished" Testing Instruments "Unpublished" testing instruments are instruments developed by individual or a group of authors and are often published or reported on in journal articles or books. Note that copyright restrictions may apply to such measures. Information on unpublished instruments can be found in the TestLink, Directory of Unpublished Experimental Measures, HaPI and PsycINFO databases, and other similar resources.

American Psychological Association has produced a document entitled "FAQ/Finding Information About Psychological Tests". This document provides much of the basic information a researcher or student may need before starting to look for psychological testing instruments.
Buros Institute of Mental Measurements is a Web site designed by the producers of the Mental Measurements Yearbook and Tests in Print series for use with the Buros Institute products.
TestLink The ETS Test Collection includes an extensive library of 25,000 tests and other measurement devices from the early 1900s to the present.

Psychological and Psychiatric Testing Instruments: Selected Resources is a biannually updated list of resources on measurement available from the collection of WPIC Library.
