POINT your browser tothe NCBI Entrez Gene Web page.

TYPE ìphenylketonuriaî in the text search box at the top of the page.

Under the text search box, you will find multiple tabs, such as Limits, Preview/Index, History, etc. CLICK the Limits tab.

From Limit by Taxonomy SELECT ìHomo sapiensî to narrow your search.

CLICK the GO button next to the text search box at the top of the page.



Result
  • Results will include multiple genes associated with phenylketonuria.
  • The default display format is ìGraphic Summary.î From the Display drop down menu located underneath the Limits tab, you can CHANGE THE DISPLAY FORMAT by selecting other options, such as FASTA (for displaying upstream and downstream sequences surrounding each SNP), Flat File, UI list, etc.
  • SAVE this result by selecting the File option available under the Send to drop down menu located near the Display menu.
  • CLICK on a gene name to see complete Entrez Gene information.
