POINT your browser to the NCBI Entrez Gene Web page.

TYPE ìtitanî in the text search box at the top of the page.

Under the text search box, you will find multiple tabs, such as Limits, Preview/Index, History, etc. CLICK the Limits tab.

Under Limit by Taxonomy SELECT ìMus musculusî to narrow your search to mouse only.

CLICK the GO button next to the text search box at the top of the page.

You will be taken to the Entrez Gene page for Myot myotilin (titan). Locate the section titled Genomic regions, transcripts, and products and CLICK ìNC_000084.5î.


Result
  • CLICK on the annotated genome RefSeq name (NC_xxxxxx) to be linked to the relevant FASTA (sequence) or GenBank info.
  • Genomic information may also be available from alternate assemblies (e.g., based on Celera). To check, SELECT ìReference Sequencesî from the Table Of Contents in the right hand column of the Entrez Gene page for your gene of interest.
