POINT your browser to the NCBI Entrez Gene Web page.

TYPE ìBRCA1î in the text search box at the top of the page.

Under the text search box, you will find multiple tabs, such as Limits, Preview/Index, History, etc. CLICK the Limits tab.

SELECT ìGene Nameî from the drop down menu near the top of the page to limit your search.

From Limit by Taxonomy SELECT ìHomo sapiensî to further narrow your search.

CLICK the GO button next to the text search box at the top of the page.

You will be taken to the Entrez Gene page for BRCA1. LOCATE the section titled Interactions by either scrolling down the page or clicking the link located under the Table of Contents in the right hand column.



Result
  • Numerous interaction partners are listed for BRCA1.
  • CLICK on an Interactant or Other Gene of interest to see information from NCBI
  • Sources for this information include BIND (Biomolecular Interaction Network Database), HPRD (Human Protein Reference Database), and BioGRID (General Repository for Interaction Datasets).
  • CLICK on the source link for an interactant of interest to see additional information.
