PGDB -- A curated and integrated database of genes related to the prostate

What you can do:
Search for genes or genomic loci related to the human prostate and prostatic diseases from this curated and integrated database.
Highlights:
  • PGDB covers genes that have been reported in the scientific literature to be involved in a number of molecular and genetic events occurred in the prostate such as gene mutation, gross deletion, methylation, polymorphism, over-expression and linkage (linkage disequilibrium), and also covers genes that are exclusively expressed in prostate as shown by SAGE and EST experiments.
  • For each gene, in addition to basic gene information and rich cross-references to other databases, inclusive and relevant literature references are provided to support the inclusion of the gene in the database.
  • Detailed expression data calculated from the UniGene and SAGEmap databases are also presented.
Keywords:
  • human prostate
  • prostatic diseases
  • prostatic disease gene expressions
  • disease genes
  • SAGE data
  • EST data
