The ARKdb -- genome databases for farmed and other animals

What you can do:
Search in this comprehensive public repositories for genome mapping data and various genetic information from farmed and other animal species.
Highlights:
  • Data stored includes details of loci and markers, references/papers, authors, genetic linkage map assignments, cytogenetic map assignments, experimental techniques, PCR primers and conditions and any other data pertaining to genome mapping.
  • The database can be queried for textual information (e.g. locus details, papers from a particular author etc.) or for graphical map displays.
  • The ARKdb genome database model has been implemented for 10 species to date. These are pig, chicken, sheep, cattle, horse, deer, tilapia, cat, turkey and salmon.
