dbQSNP -- a database of SNPs in human promoter regions with allele frequency information determined by single-strand conformation polymorphism-based methods

What you can do:
Search SNPs in human promoter regions.
Highlights:
  • dbQSNP provides sequence and allele frequency information for single-nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) located in the promoter regions of human genes, which were defined by the 5' ends of full-length cDNA clones.
  • The SNPs in these regions were identified by sequencing or single-strand conformation polymorphism (SSCP) analysis.
  • It also shows profiles of SNP densities that are characteristic of transcription start site regions.
  • Users can search dbQSNP records by Blast-search against STS sequences in this database, by key word or by chromosomal location.
