Closed Stacks and Storage

If PITTCat for the Health Sciences indicates the only available location of a book or journal is in "HSLS Storage" or "Falk Library Closed Stacks"

Pitt users affiliated with one of the schools of the health science and UPMC users may:

• Request a chapter or article photocopy at no charge by completing the online Order Copies form.
• Request an entire book be sent from "HSLS Storage" or "Falk Library Closed Stacks" to any HSLS library, at no charge, by completing the online Order Books form.

Pitt users not affiliated with the schools of the health sciences may:

• Request through the University Library System (ULS)
  

Outside users (not Pitt or UPMC) may:

• Request to have materials marked "Falk Library Closed Stacks" retrieved at no charge. Please contact the Falk Library circulation desk at 412-648-8866. These items may not leave the library. Any photocopies must be made by the requestor.
• Outside users may not request items marked "HSLS Storage." Such items will have to be requested through the Interlibrary Loan Service of the user's institution or public library.
