This introductory class will explain how publishing works, the common publishing models (including subscription and open access journals), copyright policies, journal matching tools, and how to use journal metrics to find impactful publications in your field.

Upon completing this class, you should be able to:
  • Create a list of potential journals for your manuscript.
  • Describe the different open access publishing models.
  • Explain how to maintain the copyright of your work.
Prerequisites

Anyone who publishes, or has an interest in publishing, is welcome to attend.
