In this 90-minute class, you will learn who is collecting your data, the types of data they’re collecting, and what they may be doing with it. Additionally, you will learn about options to increase your privacy and control over your own data.
Your data may be shared with third party vendors for purposes of advertisement, research, and product development.*

Upon completing this class, you should be able to:
- Adjust certain settings on your phone, computer, and other internet-enabled devices to increase privacy
- Describe what apps and websites may be doing with your data
- Identify privacy-conscious alternatives to popular services
- Use the tools introduced during the class to assess apps, websites, and “smart” devices for privacy concerns
