Transgender Health Care, Words Matter: Gender Identity & Gender Expression
- examines the vast vocabulary of gender identity and gender expression;
- provides personal stories of transgender individuals and intersexuals; and
- highlights health care’s response to educational gaps and provision of care to transgender individuals and intersexuals.
The companion display located in Falk Library’s lobby, Sexual Ambivalence, Transsexual Phenomenon and a Case of Dr. James Barry, highlights historical materials held in the HSLS collections. The exhibit is located in Falk Library’s lobby and in the elevator lobby area on the second floor of Scaife Hall. Materials used for the exhibit can be found at bibliography and credits.
