siRNA Design (Qiagen)
What you can do:
Design siRNA by sequence or by GenBank accession number.
Highlights:
- The design tool incorporates standard Tuschl-based design, with additional parameters for differential melting temperature of the 5x92 and 3x92 ends, overall GC content, base preferences at specific sites, and avoidance of stretches of G's or C's.
- Simply paste a target sequence, an NCBI GI Number or an Accession Number into the field below and hit "Design".
- The siRNA target sequences are ranked based on design rules.
- The siRNA can be ordered directly from Qiagen.
- Homology analysis can be performed using BLAST. Note that BLAST may not find every significant alignment. Public Smith Waterman search tools are available that will do a more thorough, albeit slower alignment.
