HERVd -- Human Endogenous Retrovirus Database

What you can do:
Screen human genome for Human endogenous retroviruses (HERVs).
Highlights:
  • This database is compiled from the human genome nucleotide sequences obtained mostly in the Human Genome Projects.
  • It allows a relatively simple and fast screening of human genome for HERVs.
  • The HERV database now contains retroviruses from more than 90 % of the human genome (as of 2004).
