RESCUE-ESE -- Identifies Candidate Exonic Splicing Enhancers in Vertebrate Exons

What you can do:
Predict splicing phenotypes by identifying sequence changes that disrupt or alter predicted ESEs.
Highlights:
  • RESCUE-ESE has been used in conjunction with experimental validation to identify 238 candidate ESE hexamers in human genes. It has recently been implemented in three additional species: mouse, zebrafish and pufferfish.
  • It annotates RESCUE-ESE hexamers in vertebrate exons to help predicting splicing phenotypes by identifying sequence changes that disrupt or alter predicted ESEs.

  • ESE
  • gene splicing
  • alternative splicing
