S/MARt DB -- A database on scaffold/matrix attached regions

What you can do:
Search for information about scaffold/matrix attached regions and the nuclear matrix proteins that are supposed be involved in the interaction of these elements with the nuclear matrix.
Highlights:
  • It is a relational database covering scaffold/matrix attached regions (S/MARs) and nuclear matrix proteins that are involved in the chromosomal attachment to the nuclear scaffold.
  • The data are mainly extracted from original publications, but a World Wide Web interface for direct submissions is also available. It covers the whole range from yeast to human.
  • S/MARt DB is closely linked to the TRANSFAC database on transcription factors and their binding sites.
Keywords:
  • scaffold/matrix attached regions
  • nuclear matrix proteins
  • nuclear scaffold
  • chromosomal attachment
