ExInt -- An Exon/Intron database

What you can do:
Search for information on the exon/intron structure of eukaryotic genes.
Highlights:
  • Features in the database include: intron nucleotide sequence, amino acid sequence of the corresponding protein, position of the introns at the amino acid level and intron phase.
  • Data are available through a retrieval system, as flat-files and as a MySQL dump file.
  • It helps to identify common evolutionary patterns in higher eukaryotic genes for the study of intron loss/gain, sliding, splicing, retroposition, recombination, intron/exon duplication
Keywords:
  • introns
  • exons
  • gene splicing
  • mRNA splicing
  • mRNA isoforms
  • intragenic non-coding sequences
