Comparative Genometrics (CG) -- a database dedicated to biometric comparisons of whole genomes

What you can do:
Conduct comparative biometric analysis of chromosomes of different organisms.
Highlights:
  • Devoted to the characterization of complete chromosome sequences by standardized genometric methods, the Comparative Genometrics website displays for sequenced genomes, three different genometric analyses: the DNA walk and the GC and TA skews during the initial phase. Although primarily focused on prokaryotic chromosomes, the CG website posts genometric information on paradigm plasmids, phages, viruses, and organelles.
  • As of April 2005, there are 226 prokaryote genomes (249 chromosomes).
