The TIGR Maize Database

What you can do:
Search for annotated genomic sequences of maize.
Highlights:
  • The database consists of approximately 298 Mb representing 243,807 sequence assemblies and singletons, resulting from approximately 900,000 gene-enriched reads from maize.
  • In this resource, the AZMs ( Assembled Zea mays) were assembled and annotated and available sequenced markers were used to anchor AZMs to maize chromosomes.
  • A maize repeat database was constructed and draft sequence assemblies of 287 maize bacterial artificial chromosome (BAC) clone sequences were generated.
  • The sequences along with 172 additional publicly available BAC clones were annotated.
