What you can do:
Search for comprehensive information on viral genomes.
Highlights:
  • The Viral Bioinformatics Resource Center (VBRC) providing comprehensive web-based genomics resources to the scientific community conducting basic and applied research on microorganisms selected from the NIH/NIAID Category A, B, and C priority pathogens that are regarded as possible bioterrorist threats or as emerging or re-emerging infectious diseases.
  • The VBRC is concerned primarily with viruses encompassing the families Arenaviridae, Bunyaviridae, Flaviviridae, Filoviridae, Paramyxoviridae, Poxviridae, and Togaviridae.
  • The VBRC provides researchers with:
  • ** a repository of virus species and strains under study
  • ** a relational database that stores the genomic sequences of these viruses
  • annotation and analysis of virus genes and genomes
  • ** web-based data mining and sequence analysis tools
