DSDBASE -- A Consortium of Native and Modeled Disulphide Bonds in Proteins

What you can do:
To search for information on native disulphides and those that are stereochemically possible between pairs of residues for all known protein structural entries.
Highlights:
  • DSDBASE is a database on disulphide bonds in proteins that provides information on native disulphides and those which are stereochemically possible between pairs of residues in a protein.
  • This database can be used to design site-directed mutants in order to enhance the thermal stability of a protein. The proposed sites of mutations can be viewed specifically with respect to active sites of enzymes and across physiological dimers.
Keywords:
  • disulphides
  • disulphide bonds
  • disulfides
  • disulfide bonds
  • site-directed mutations
  • protein engineering
