GeniSys -- Enhancer- and promoter-inserted mutants of Drosophila

What you can do:
Search for information on Enhancer and Promoter (EP)-element-inserted Drosophila melanogaster mutants.
Highlights:
  • The GeniSys database is an organized collection of information about 25,000 lines of Enhancer and Promoter (EP)-element-inserted Drosophila melanogaster mutants which can over-express or knock-out specific genes when crossed with stage and tissue-specific GAL4 fly lines.
  • The database can be used to search for EP insertions in a particular gene of interest or in a group of genes which have same gene ontology (GO) annotation.
  • EP-element insertion points are graphically depicted on the fly genome sequence scaffold, along with computer-predicted genes and ESTs.
Keywords:
  • fruitfly EP insertions
  • fruitfly EP-element insertion mutants
  • Drosophila melanogaster insertion mutants
  • Drosophila melanogaster enhancers
  • Drosophila melanogaster promoter
  • Drosophila melanogaster genome annotation
  • Drosophila melanogaster genome mapping
  • fly lines
