RCR Session: Using Critical Appraisal to Assess the Rigor of the Prior Research

Upcoming Classes

We have no upcoming HSLS live classes currently scheduled on this topic. Contact us for options.

This session is part of series on Rigor & Reproducibility. When applying for grants, have you ever wondered how best to meet the NIH requirement to assess the rigor of the prior research in your field? Critical appraisal can help readers determine whether a study's results are valid, what the results are, and whether they are relevant to you. This class will cover the basics of critically appraising studies, including study design, methods, bias, and confounding. (subject matter: data acquisition and analysis)

Join us also for the follow-up session entitled, “Critical Appraisal Journal Club  session”. You must register for each session separately.

This class is offered through a partnership of the library and the CTSI Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR) Center.
